Worship Service

Read scripture at the pulpit during services!!
Gifts and Strengths: ages 15- adult, ability to effectively communicate God's word at the pulpit oratory skills
Commitment: Sunday morning services, Commitment to 1 service a month, arriving 10 min early to check in

Pray with those who need prayer after the service. Training online is available
Gifts and Strengths: Be a Christian and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Be a member of FCC for at least 3 years
Commitment: One service per month.
Discipleship

Group leaders are expected to attend annual small group gathering. An apprentice style of training is offered and encouraged in small groups.
Gifts and Strengths: Committed follower of Jesus with leadership and facilitation ability and a heart for people.
Commitment: Most small groups run on the academic year. Some small groups may meet for a shorter period of time as determined in advance

Gifts and Strengths: Committed follower of Jesus invested in the Women's/Mens’s ministry. Particular gifting would include leadership, administration, hospitality, service.
Commitment: 3-4 times a year
*Men’s Min Team members support the monthly men's breakfasts Sept-June and men's events

Going through Alpha yourself and experiencing the program is the best training. We do hold training for small group leaders and helpers and training before the retreat. Areas of responsibility check lists are available.
Gifts and Strengths: Committed follower of Jesus with a heart for Alpha and an interest in helping others explore faith. Particular gifting would include hospitality, administration, and strong communicator.
Commitment: Alpha courses run in the Fall and Spring including a retreat. There are some team meetings and advance preparation.

Tech Arts

Music

Gifts and Strengths: any musician, any age who passes the audition process
Commitment: One Sunday a month from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm. Rehearsals on Wednesdays, 7:30 pm to 9 pm, only when scheduled.

Gifts and Strengths: any singer, any age who passes the audition process
Commitment: Rehearsals every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:20 pm. Choir rehearsals are weekly and the choir performs at both services when scheduled
Property Ministry

Anyone who likes to clean, repair, paint, do yard work, etc. No experience is necessary.
Age 14 to seniors, there's something for everyone to do!
Commitment: 2nd & 4th Fridays of the month.

Storm Troopers remove snow on side walks & stairs at FCC!
Commitment: Whenever it snows :-) here.

Work includes clean up of the gardens, planting flowers and trimming and replacing flowers when necessary.
Volunteers can make their own schedule and FCC will supply all tools and plants/flowers.
Children/Youth

Lead Teachers will be responsible for their classroom (Preschool, K-2nd grade, or 3rd-5th grade) and will prepare and teach the lesson.
Assistant Teachers will serve alongside a Lead Teacher, assisting with activities, leading small groups, “crowd-control” and other tasks as needed.
Substitute Teachers will fill in as needed for Lead or Assistant Teachers, when they are unable to serve.
Commitment for Lead and Assistant Teachers: 2-3 times per month, Sept. - June (preferred) or Sept. - Dec. (minimum). Substitute Teachers: As Needed
Required for all: Volunteer Application, CORI check, and Safe Church training twice a year.

Cuddle Corner volunteers will serve with our youngest FCC members, holding babies and playing with toddlers. This will include responsibilities such as ensuring the safety of the children in their care, helping calm upset little ones, changing diapers or feeding as needed, and any other needs that may arise in Cuddle Corner.
Commitment: One Sunday per month, Sept. - June (preferred) or Sept. - Dec. (minimum)
Required: Volunteer Application, CORI check, and Safe Church training twice a year.

Hall Monitors will walk through Children’s Ministry areas several times during Kid’s Church, welcoming families as children are dropped off and picked up. They will be available to step into a classroom if a need arises.
Commitment: Once per month, Sept. - June (preferred) or Sept. - Dec. (minimum).
Required: Volunteer Application, CORI check, and Safe Church training twice a year.
Curriculum Supply Coordinators will prepare materials for weekly lessons. This involves collecting and bagging materials for crafts and activities for the teachers.
Commitment: 2 hours per month, Sept. - June (preferred) or Sept. - Dec. (minimum)
Classroom Care Coordinators help maintain a good environment classrooms by checking on the conditions of the rooms and supplies. They will organize rooms, replace supplies and ensure teachers have a neat, stocked room.
Commitment: 1-2 hours a month, Sept. - June (preferred) or Sept. - Dec. (minimum)
Pastoral Care

Drivers drive Senior adults to church events and appointments.
Shoppers run errands and/or shop for Senior adults.
Commitment: As Needed.

The meals ministry is dedicated to providing nourishing meals during seasons of need.

Use your skills to create Prayer Shawls and other items as gifts from FCC.

Providing monthly worship services to people living in community settings. The team members would include someone to share a message, musician(s) and helpers.
