Advent is all about the coming of Jesus Christ. The first Advent is about his coming as a baby in a manger in Bethlehem. The second Advent is about Jesus coming again to the earth- this time not as a baby- but in glory, to judge the living and the dead. In a sense, we live in a season of Advent all the time as we await the return of Jesus at a day and hour only God knows. Living “everyday advent” is a life of meaningful action wherever we are, watching and waiting, and having the peace and hope that flow from what Jesus has done and also living in eager expectation of what he is yet to do. Join us this season as we consider the events and implications of Jesus’ first and second coming.
