Jesus is Born
All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”(which means “God with us”). - Matthew 1:22-23

Sometimes in our lives God places seemly impossible tasks in front of us. We may look at the task thinking it is impossible or we’ll ask how in the world are we supposed to accomplish it. In Matthew 1:23, Joseph was presented with a seemly impossible responsibility. He was going to help raise God’s son the Messiah. He had doubts when Mary first told him of her pregnancy. He walked away believing that there was no way for a virgin to give birth and that the only explanation was that she slept with another man. What God reminded Joseph and we forget is through him the impossible is possible. We are reminded to have faith in God even when things seem impossible. I live my life everyday with the knowledge that God’s always there with me and I know that through Him all things are possible.
In the summer of 2016, I fell into a depression and I felt like I’d never come out of it. It felt as if my chances of being happy again where next to nothing. But God is amazing saving me from the darkness. He made something that seemed so impossible in my life possible.
We cannot forget that through God, all things are possible. We experience highs and lows but they fall short in comparison to God’s love for us. He wants us to grow and He’ll always be with us to give us a nudge in the right direction.
