Welcome to the Jr. High Youth Ministry! Who said that church stuff was boring? Not us! This is where the action is and there’s never a dull moment. We’ve got a number of different programs and events going on all the time. If you’d like to get plugged in to what’s going on here for Jr. High (7th and 8th grade) students, check out the information below:
Junior High Sunday Mornings @ 10 am
Bell House Rock!
(Sept-June, Bell House)
All Junior High students should drop by the Bell House (40 Elm Street) at 10:00am, for our new and improved Bell House Rock: an opportunity to interact, share, and learn from one another on a variety of topics in a safe, relaxed environment. Bell House Rock!, provides students with solid, biblically based teaching in a teen-friendly environment. Our lessons are designed to be relevant and promote student involvement and interaction while challenging our students to live out their faith day-to-day. Sunday mornings include large group interaction as well as small “team” group discussion time.
Summer Sunday School
(Jul-Aug)
Stay connected in the summer with our weekly Jr. High class for students entering grades 7 and 8. Our Sunday morning program is a great place for growing in faith through teaching and discussion.

Small Groups
Small groups are a great place for students to build community and make friends. In Jr. High small groups, students work with peers together tackle some tougher issues while having a good time. With so many people who are just fake, it can be hard to find a place to be real. Having a group of friends who can experience authentic care for one another make small groups an important place for growing in faith.
Our Jr. High Small Groups meet during the school year on Wednesday nights, concurrent with FCC’s Family Night Ministry.

First Fridays
First Fridays is an exciting outreach program for middle school students, sponsored by several local Christian churches. First Fridays are filled with games, music, skits, door prizes, laughter, and a short talk about the life and teachings of Jesus and why that is important to middle schoolers today. Everyone who comes to First Fridays is guaranteed to have a great time! We encourage all of our middle school students to bring friends to First Fridays.
First Fridays meets during the school year on the first Friday of each month from 7:00-8:30 pm. If you need more information about First Fridays, email firstfridaysandover@yahoo.com

Service Projects
Sometimes we get together just for fun- retreats, concerts, outdoor adventure, you name it- and sometimes we team up to serve others in our community. Whatever the purpose, Junior High students are strongly encouraged to take advantage of community service projects and social events offered throughout the year. Check our website and our Youth Rack in the Rotunda for information about special events for Jr. Highers.

Ministry Opportunities
The success of the Youth Ministry is indisputably dependant on the faithful service of adult volunteers who come alongside our teens and invest in their lives. Our youth leaders have the privilege of seeing changed lives as students grow in faith and commitment to the Lord.
Youth leaders don’t need to be young and hip. Anyone who is willing to be authentic, loves Christ, and loves teenagers might be the kind of person who would make an awesome youth leader.
Current leadership needs include:
- Small group leadership/apprenticeship
- Bell House Partners (decorating, facility maintenance)
- Student contact assistance (event promotion/mailings/phone ministry)
- “Feed-the-Teen” classroom snack program
- Service Project, Special Event, and Retreat Chaperones/Drivers
- First Fridays Team
- Sunday School Youth Leaders/Assistants
- Youth Database Management
