How do I reserve space to use at the church?
The first step is to fill out a Building Use form and submit it to the office. If there are no scheduling conflicts, you will be allowed the space desired. The church office will work with you to find the right space and time for your needs. To download the necessary form as a Word file, click here (if you prefer a PDF version, click here).

What is the CCCC? What does it have to do with Free Church?
The Conservative Congregational Christian Conference (CCCC) is a theologically conservative denomination believing strongly in the autonomy of the local church. The CCCC’s member churches include those who are Congregational, Christian, and Evangelical and Reformed in their background, as well as independent Community churches. Member ministers also come from diverse backgrounds.
Though the CCCC’s are solidly committed to the basic doctrines of the Christian faith, they find diversity in many areas where Christians have tended to disagree. Though members hold strong biblical convictions, they do not believe that Christians should divide over secondary issues.
As an evangelical denomination, in obedience to Jesus Christ, they work together to advance the kingdom of our Lord through outreach and missions.

Children:
What is available for children?
On Sunday mornings, elementary-school-aged children and youth have their small-group meetings like Sunday school. They are divided by grades for Bible stories, instructional praise and group discussions. This is where they meet friends, talk about God, and participate in a time of meaningful worship. For more information and/or to register click here: Register for Sunday school

How are children and youth small groups different from of typical Sunday school class?
The focus is on small group environment. Small group leaders engage kids in meaningful discussions and hands-on activities. The groups are small like all small groups at Free Christian Church and there is opportunity for discussion, children use their gifts to serve others and community is emphasized.

How do you insure the safety of our children?
Free Christian Church places a high priority on maintaining a safe environment for children and youth in our Sunday school and other church activities. A collection of policies is enforced to protect every child or youth involved with Free Christian Church which we call our Safe Church manual – This is available in the church office. Every person working with children & youth have taken our Safe Church course and every adult that interacts with a child has had a CORI report.

Small Groups:
Do I have to be a member of Free Christian Church to join a Small Group?
No way. Groups are for everyone and anyone at FCC.
Where do the small groups meet?
They meet all over our area in host homes. You can usually find a group within 5-10 minutes of your house. Some meet at the church like the Family Night groups or Alpha groups.

Is there childcare available for small groups?
It depends on the group. Most groups have childcare. The group finds its own place to house the children. A childcare worker or two usually take care of the little ones during the group time. Check the web listing for that!

What if I don't like the first group I try?
Try another one! We understand that every person is not going to click the first night, so we ask that you hang in your group for awhile as is. Usually after a few weeks of consistently attending, you may gel with your group, but by all means if you want to try a new group, go for it. If you need help let us know.

Can I start my own group?

Volunteering:
Do I have to be a member to volunteer?
No, service here at Free Christian Church is a great way to plug in. Obviously we have different areas of service that we require membership, but many of them are designed to give new people a place to plug-in. A great first serving opportunity is through our Connecting Ministry – click here to find out more!

I only have limited time can I still volunteer?
Our ministry areas range in time, commitment, and experience requirements. Some of our ministries only require one to two hours a month, while others require several hours every week.
Can I volunteer in more then one area?
Yes, some of our ministries require little time and will allow room for other involvement. We will be glad to help you navigate the waters of multiple service opportunities. Our goal is always to help our volunteers maintain a healthy balance.

What if I am ready for a change in ministry?
Often we choose to change ministry for a variety of reasons. During our spiritual initiative many are sensing God calling them to stepping up to a higher level of service involvement. Others are simply serving in areas that don’t provide the right fit. Contact your ministry leader and give him/her notice and contact our Connecting Ministry Team and they will help facilitate your transition.
